Dr. Shafaath Husain is Consultant Radiologist, Head of Department and Director of Imaging at Lifecore Clinic, The Royal Group's premier VVIP facility for advanced health optimisation and longevity care in Abu Dhabi.

Fellowship-trained in Body Imaging at the University of Calgary and with more than eighteen years of experience, Dr. Husain brings a rare depth of diagnostic expertise and a precision-led approach to longevity care.

Clinical Credentials & Medical Training

Dr. Husain completed his radiology training at Deccan College of Medical Sciences in India before pursuing fellowship training in Body Imaging at the University of Calgary, Canada. Across more than eighteen years in practice, his areas of expertise have come to include abdominal and musculoskeletal imaging, with extensive experience in neuroradiology and spine imaging.

Imaging Biomarkers for Healthy Ageing

At Lifecore, Dr. Husain leads comprehensive general imaging alongside a dedicated focus on imaging biomarkers for longevity. His work spans brain morphometry to track cognitive health, liver and visceral fat quantification to assess metabolic function, MRI muscle quantification for sarcopenia risk, and whole-body and multiparametric prostate MRI for precision screening.

Radiology in Precision & Longevity Medicine

Dr. Husain sees imaging as central to precision medicine, enabling early detection, continuous monitoring and personalised treatment planning. Drawing on MRI, CT, ultrasound and AI-assisted diagnostics, his work identifies cardiovascular disease, hepatic steatosis, osteoporosis and neurodegeneration before symptoms appear, allowing clinicians to intervene earlier and tailor care to each patient.
